I Passed! Now What?

First of all, congratulations! We knew you could do it! And honestly, you’ve overcome the biggest hurdle by passing the licensing exam.

But there’s still some work left to be done before you can start selling plans.

For all states, it’s now time to apply for your license with that state’s Department of Insurance, or DOI for short.

Some states will have additional requirements, like submitting fingerprints, going through background checks, and additional forms.

All of the sites we mentioned in previous lessons should have lists for application requirements by state.
